Kochi, India Office Expansion
In the midst of a turbulent economy there is optimism in the technology industry when it comes to building solutions. Specifically; technology solutions that are efficient, effective and that contribute toward long term strategic growth.
After less than a year in operation Orion is forging ahead with plans to expand the state-of-the-art Kochi Development Center by nearly 100%. “In today's business environment, having a global presence gives us access to some of the best talent in the IT development community”, says Sunil Mehta, President and CEO of Orion Systems Integrators, Inc., which is headquartered in the US. Orion's teams of architects, engineers and developers work contiguously despite their on-site, off-site, onshore, off-shore or near shore location. The Orion advantage: at any given time; day or night, clients are supported and business is being conducted.
Orion's Growth Plan Includes New US Office
Effective January 1, 2010, Orion will be opening a second US office, which will be located in Montvale, New Jersey. Close to 5000 square feet of prime office space will seat 75+ project managers, software engineers and technology developers who will support one of the region's largest global auditing organizations.
For over seventeen years Orion has designed, developed, supported and managed custom development solutions. This latest venture represents Orion's dedication to being a valued, long-term strategic partner and a key player toward supporting the organization's sustainable growth plan. “With Orion's ITESS (IT Excellence and Strategy Services) Team in close proximity to Senior Management, our commitment to exceeding expectations and delivering excellence is definite and clearly defined”, states Pradeep Thekkethodi, Vice President of Orion's ITESS Strategy.
On the moove
“Don't just move, moofwd” is a slogan that might soon be heard across continents. Orion's mobile platform moofwd is a cross-device, rich connected application platform that enables easy creation of enterprise-class, service oriented applications through zero-code mashup of disparate services.
Recent developments in Orion's Santiago, Chile office have led to ground-breaking discussions that might very well bring our moofwd platform into Chile's educational arena (stay tuned for updates on this exciting venture). “Mobility solutions are as relevant to an organization today as web solutions were a decade back”, says Sachin Ahuja, Lead Architect of Orion's Mobility Team. Although the need for a relevant mobility strategy is clear and present, the roadmap to achieve the same isn't. That's where Orion's moofwd platform comes in to play.
